This is a very interesting post onIT and health care joining together for maximum efficiency t. I still believe that our private info should not be transferred digitally, only stored digitally and not connected to the web in anyway.

This is scary. The government is gaining too much power and interfering far too much in peoples’ lives. I am one who takes my privacy very seriously and I hate the idea of the government’s prying eyes looking at my medical records. I even hate that the insurance companies have access to it! It’s none of their business if you ask me. They’re just there to pay the bills that come in for things I need…not to pry into what it is I’m going in for and why.

I figured I’d take this opportunity to let you know, Mr. Bovard, I love your book “Lost Rights.” Keep up the great work!

Peter–I’m not a conservative so I’m not fighting for any HMOs. But you said “— and if electronic records must be part of the deal, so be it.” Are you sure about that? You’re comfortable with somebody like Dick Cheney having complete access to all of your health records? Your children’s health records?

After watching the last eight years, I hope you’re not thinking “it can’t happen”.

Computerized Medical Records are but one of many fine diversionary measures intended to facilitate the Nanny State that will continue to feed the kiddies Cheetohs and Soda Pop while they play “Grand Theft Auto”.

Excuse me but i remain a tad skeptical when people tell me that the cure for Kafka is more Kafka.

When a culture’s biggest employment growth is in the “Regulations Industry” and Government, all the best care in the world offered up free of charge aint gonna save it from self-inflicted suicide by inertia.

“Progressives” have no problem with the idea of medical records in the fedgov’s hands, as they seem to have already forgotten the Bush/Cheney era. They just “know” that their beloved Obama won’t do anything perfidious with this data, and they refuse to imagine a world where Obama is not the Dear Leader.

Good Lord. We just got through trying to explain the same thing to the damn Republicans, how their precious Dub-yah wouldn’t be in charge forever. Now we have to explain to the damn Democrats that Oh-Bah-Mah won’t be in charge forever. Round and round she goes, where she stops nobody knows…hmmm didn’t they used to say that on that old show “Truth or Consequences”? How fitting.
