The MSM and public school system are two major forces insuring that Americans remain clueless and compliant. In those very rare instances when an average Joe Six Pack attempts to read anything questioning "the system" it instantly triggers something very much like the "my brain hurts" skit from Monty Python.

Jim, like anything in society, when the public finally figures out that the lame stream media has become nothing but agents for the state, we will be all better off.
I remember sitting with my ex-wife, and was speaking to her mother. This was in Ukraine, and she mentioned about how many of the people in her village either starved to death, or surivived by the thinnest of margins. (No pun intended) While this was happening, Walter Duranhy was writing in the New York Times of how great of an economic power the Soviet Union was. He won a Pulitizer Prize. To this date, the Ukranians are fighting to get the Pulitizer Committee to take it back.
